    a three-part fellowship & worship experience

    Section image

    SATURDAY, August 29

Get ready for a weekend of joyful fellowship, food, music, and celebration!

We’ll kick things off from 10am until noon in our Fellowship Hall with "Joyful Noise: A Karaoke and Mocktail Fellowship!" Now, we don’t want you to come alone — invite your friends, assemble your groups, gather your background dancers, and start warming up those solo voices! Whether you can truly sing or simply make a joyful noise, there’s a place on the microphone for you. Come ready to enjoy delicious mocktails, light snacks, plenty of laughter, and a wonderful time of fellowship!

Then, from 1-2:30pm, the celebration continues down the street with a unique and interactive cooking demonstration fellowship for our 31st Street Youth and Pastor (message us for location details).

    SUNDAY, August 30

We’ll gather for a powerful morning worship experience featuring our guest preacher, the Reverend Dr. W. Seth Martin, Senior Pastor of Lake Providence Baptist Church in Nashville, Tennessee!

Worship will also be complemented by special guest psalmist, Dr. James Mable, Jr. who will bless us with his viral hit, “One Word!”

Two card collection boxes have been placed in the narthex for Pastor and First Family. We can’t wait to celebrate year 6 of our Pastor and First Family with you!

    Rev. Dr. W. Seth Martin

Rev. Dr. William Seth Martin serves as the Senior Pastor of Lake Providence Baptist Church, a historic congregation in Nashville, TN.

Before this appointment, Dr. Martin served on the pastoral team at Sanctuary Covenant Church and founded The Brook Community Church, a church plant born out of a passion to build Christ-centered community and cultivate spiritually vibrant disciples. Across every assignment, his leadership has been characterized by courageous vision, thoughtful strategy, and a commitment to shepherding people well.

Dr. Martin holds a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism with a minor in Leadership from Hampton University, a Master of Divinity from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, and a Doctor of Ministry from United Theological Seminary. His doctoral research explored Spirit filled preaching centered on justice and reconciliation within diverse congregational contexts—an emphasis that continues to shape his pastoral voice and public ministry.

A sought-after preacher and speaker, Dr. Martin addresses audiences nationally and internationally on leadership, justice, discipleship, and the church’s role in society. His insights and ministry have been featured on CNN, MSNBC, and in The Washington Post.

Dr. Martin is married to his lovely wife, Hannah Monique Martin, and together they are raising their three children—Zoe Elizabeth, Elena Simone, and William Seth Jr.—with joy, faith, and a shared commitment to serving God’s kingdom.

    Dr. James Mable, Jr.

Dr. James Mable Jr., who hails from Navasota, TX, carries a mantle of being special since birth. He is the son of Pastor James Mable Sr. and Mary Harvey Mable. Growing up as a Pastor’s kid, Mable was engulfed in ministry and to this day gives credit to his parents for preparing him for the journey called life and introducing him to Jesus Christ! Education was a priority in the Mable household, and Dr. Mable did not disappoint. He graduated with honors from Navasota High School in 2003 and enrolled in Prairie View A&M University in the Fall of 2003. Within an eleven-year span, Dr. Mable received his Bachelor’s Degree in Music Education, Master’s Degree in Educational Administration, and Ph.D. in Educational Leadership in 2014.

His professional career includes a wide variety of positions from public school to higher academia. Dr. Mable has always been a songbird. He continued his passion for music by auditioning for BET's Sunday Best singing competition in 2009. Although he missed the live show by bowing out in the tie-breaking final round to get on the show, this experience served as a launching pad for his career. In June of 2015, Dr. Mable accepted the offer to become the Youth Pastor/Worship Leader at the Antioch Baptist Church in Beaumont, TX under the leadership of Senior Pastor, Dr. John R. Adolph. Under Dr. Adolph’s leadership, his life catapulted into a new dimension! “Dr. John Adolph is one extraordinary man! By him giving me the blessing to not only serve on the homefront at Antioch but travel the globe using my gifts has blessed me beyond my wildest dreams!”

In 2018, James released two new singles entitled “Praise Him” and “Holy Are You Lord”, which were produced and written by noted musician and producer Terrance Ruffin, who has worked with Multi-Award-Winning Gospel Artist Bishop Marvin Sapp for 20 plus years. In January of 2019, Dr. Mable inked his first deal with music industry legend promoter/manager Greg “Uncle G” Lyons and Uncle G Records! He also linked with Executive Producer Darrell Jackson of Houston, TX, who leads the entire production team. In July of 2019, Dr. Mable released his first official single under Uncle G Records entitled "I'm Free", which was written by his Executive Producer Darrell Jackson and Billboard Top 10 and BMI Trailblazer Recipient Producer Sean Keys. In addition, the song charted on the Billboard Gospel Digital Sales Chart at #17 two weeks after it was released. In December of 2019, James released his first Christmas classic rendition of Joy To The World, which has gotten rave reviews and appeared on the end-of the year Billboard Most Added list! Not to mention, I’m Free was considered for a Grammy award for Best Gospel Performance/Song for the 2020 Recording Academy and charted #27 on the Billboard Gospel Indicator Chart in the Spring of 2020! In addition, I’m Free was also considered for a Dove Award for Best Gospel Worship Song by the GMA Academy! In 2020 Dr. Mable released his first album entitled “The Journey 2.0”. God opened an unexpected door for Dr. Mable in January of 2021! He landed a role in the Broadway Musical Dreamgirls as Tiny Jo Dickson through the popular app Clubhouse! In March of 2021, Dr. Mable released an on-time crossover track entitled Heal Our Land, which is a call to unite, break barriers down and come together in such perilous times! All of his music is available on all digital platforms!

Dr. Mable served as the Worship Leader at the Crossover Bible Fellowship Church in Houston, TX under the leadership of Pastor Blake Wilson from August of 2021 to February of 2023. Things quickly shifted in Dr. Mable’s favor during that time! After being released for only a little over a year, “It Shall Pass” aka the HIT SINGLE from The Journey 2.0 project, moved to the #1 spot on the Billboard Gospel Indicator Chart in October of 2021. In addition, his singles Heal Our Land, It Shall Pass”, and album The Journey 2.0 received Grammy Considerations. His latest single “Lord You Are Good” from his album recently peaked at #34 on the Billboard Gospel Charts.

He has shared the platform with artists such Kirk Franklin, Kurt Carr, Kirk Whalum, Jonathan Butler, Brian Courtney Wilson, Maranda Curtis, Zebulon Ellis, Leandria Johnson, Zacardi Cortez, Bishop Marvin Sapp, Bishop William Murphy III, Anita Wilson, Darwin Hobbs, James Fortune, Fred Hammond, Earnest Pugh, Dr. Dorinda Clark-Cole, Pastor John P. Kee, Dottie Peoples, Kelontae Gavin, The Walls Group and Gene Moore, just to name a few. Dr. Mable can be seen singing in various venues and settings across the country. Along with his itinerate schedule as an Artist, as of October of 2024, he began serving as the Associate Director of Music & Arts at Reid Temple AME Church in Glenn Dale, Maryland as well as Worship Leader at Greater Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Austin, Texas, which he has served since 2017.

With an awesome testimony of being paralyzed for a year and half due to a horrific car accident and God healing him, to carrying a special anointing, James has been floored by the favor of God upon his life! He is simply enjoying the ride while walking by faith…
