31st Cares Scholarship Application

31st Cares, Inc. provides sustainable solutions to under-resourced residents of Richmond’s East End to ensure self-sufficiency, access to opportunities, and holistic well-being. The Dr. William H. Joyner Memorial Scholarship is a component of 31st Cares, Inc., and is awarded annually. The scholarship provides opportunities for graduating high school seniors and current college students who are continuing their education in the upcoming academic year.

Dr. William H. Joyner was a lifelong educator who worked in the Richmond Public School system for 36 years as a teacher, coach, and school administrator. He was an esteemed, effective and extraordinary leader whose legacy now continues through a new generation of rising educators, leaders, and professionals who care about education, leading with excellence, dedicated mentorship, and community service.

The 2025 scholarships will be presented to the recipients on Sunday, July 6th during the morning worship service.
